The following is my question:
(A) All of them were involved in the story, catching up in the suspense.
(B) Vingo was going home, knowing not whether his wife wanted him or not.
(C) While he approaching the oak tree, his heart could not help but beat faster.
(D) He remained silent, as if uninteresting in the conversation.
The answer given is (C), but in my opinion, there is something wrong with the answer. It should be "While he was approaching the oak tree, his heart could not help but beat faster." Am I right? Please help me out.

Yes. Either "While he was approaching the oak tree, his heart could not help but beat faster." or "While approaching the oak tree, his heart could not help but beat faster." |
