1. A: Are there any lions in the picture?
B: Yes, _______ a lion in the picture.
(A) there is (B) there are
The answer is (A). IS the answer is right?
Q1:Doesn't the B need to say like this?
Yes. There is a lion in the picture.

2. A: Are there any lions in the picture?
B: Yes, _______. There is a lion in the picture.
(A) there is (B) there are
The answer is (A). Isn't the answer (B)?

Q2:I don't know how to reply these Yes-No questions.
I mean I don't know when to say there is or there are or both replies
are ok?

Another example:

3. Is there a lion there?
Yes, there ___. There are two lions.
(A) is (B) are
(A) or (B) is right?

According to grammar,we need toagree or disagree the Yes-No questions first. Then reply the real situation.
So the questions need to reply like this?

1.A: Are there any lions in the picture?
B: Yes. There is a lion in the picture. Or,
Yes, there are. There is a lion in the picture.

2.Is there any lion in the picture?
B: Yes. There are 2 lions in the picture. Or,
Yes, there is. There are 2 lions in the picture.

How can I reply these questions? Thank you.

Are there any lions in the picture? Yes there are. There's one right there.

Is there a lion in the picture? Yes there is, there's one right there.

Most people would just answer, "Yes". Or, "Yes, there's one.
