Please can someone explain to me the difference between need to or have to.
eg.
You need to wash your hair
You have to wash your hair

You need to wash your hair because it's dirty. It's necessary now.

You have to wash your hair because... it's a rule, or it's necessary in general.

So, mostly, need is necessity, have to is obligation. There will be some overlap!
