I was reading the grammar lesson about countable nouns becoming uncountable and I got confused. Can you help me clear up my confusion?
Is it correct to say
Would you like some apple??
Shouldn't it be
Would you like some apples??
If you cut an apple into pieces and offer it to someone, would you say
Would you like some apple? or Would you like some apples?
or can you say both? |

You're correct regarding both.
If there are several apples, and you offer someone >1 :
"Would you like some apples?"
If there are pieces of apple (NOT whole apples), and you want to offer someone an unspecified amount:
"Would you like some apple?" |
