Identifying error - find an error in each sentence, and explain why?

(example – If everybody know how to read, then books will never cease to be useful.
- know is wrong because everybody is singular – therefore the correct sentence is - If everybody knows how to read, then books will never cease to be useful. )

1) Overcrowding of and within houses is an unhealthful factor which favor the spread of many diseases.
2) Every person at one time or another is called upon to make a decision but making a decision is one of the hardest job which one has to do.
3) We were touch by his generosity when he obviously could ill afford to be so generous.
4) When office workers take part in planning work details, their feelings of having status rise.

It looks like you are trying to get someone to do your homework for you! If not, then it is better to try to do it yourself and then post and ask if you have done it correctly.
