This is jsut a pop-up. Well, I'm thinking why there's no this kind of category on this board because I think students could somehow add their "non-professional" amateurish opinions on this forum and even for those like me who are interested in gaining the slight knowledge on politics either in local or in international current news.

I think it's ok to just pose the opinions or comments on politics. Or maybe this is something impossible? How do you think?

you must not have come to china,in fact here we can express our potical opinion in a very free way ,all the people's rights are protected by law .many people outside china may think china is a less safe country in a polical manner, they perhaps get such a wrong impression about china through history resons and those media controled by those guys who in fact dont know real china ,in order to better know a real china,we warmly welcom everyone around the world to china, feeling china in a relaxied way .

Passerby, there are opinions about politic in "Current news" but you are right, there isn't any specific topic.

oinrocinu is right, there are usually some political discussions taking place on "Current News." I think this board is also a good place for politics posts, so if you have something to say here, fire away! (Idiom:=="just go ahead and do it")

cen, you are right i have not had the chance to view your beautiful country. maybe someday!
i have read the english on-line version of mainlands china people's daily, and am aware that china has changed very very much, and in fact could possibly become the richest country in the world in a few more decades. i hope if that happens it will also be a completely democratic country.
i have posted once or twice in those forums. but i do not think the main news sources give news that is not from the view of the ruling party yet.
