I believe that most people still doubt about GMO food now. Many people try to avoid it. They think it causes bad effects to their health. Furthermore, some people have not any knowledge about food which derived from GMO products. Really, GMO is not dangerous. GMO(genetically modified organisms) is a kind of biotechnology that scientists fill a specific gene to general food because they want to develop pests resistance. This gene does not affect humans and other animals. Somvong Tragoonrung, Director of the DNA Technology Laboratory, said GMO food is safe because it has to pass scientific tests. In my opinion, I should eat GMO food that it is passed scientific tests for many times. I think we should concentrate on other poisonous food more than GMO. Do you agree with me? Please comment about this topic.

I am to be taken with Genetic engineering involves exchanging genes between unrelated species that cannot naturally exchange genes with each other. GE can involve the exchange of genes between vastly different spicies - e.g. putting scorpion toxin genes into maize or fish antifreeze genes into tomatoes. It is possible that a scorpion toxin gene even when it is in maize DNA will still get the organism to produce scorpion toxin but what other effects may it have in this alian environment? I think GMO may be danger with consumer. Because, research which to proceed by scientist, Dr.Arpad Pustzai. He concluded that GM potatoes cause severe harm to rats. I think to close to end GMO food business for to consume.

personally , i don't know wether GM food will pose a good or harmful effect on human!! But i am scared by the method which the scientists use to create the food!
please imgaine , when you are tasting your wonderful food , for examples a tomato .And the tomato is big and tasty! However , you don't know what the exactly ingredients it included as it had been mixed with different kinds of genes! yet , what the genes come from ?! from an animals , an organism , or other things else? So you are not just eating tomato , but also some other ingredients which you don't know !
how scary it is !

indeed ,besides making the food to become big and attractive , are there any benefits bring by the GM food?

from now on , i just think that this advanced biotechnology is just a way for the scientists and merchants to make profit!

GM food is genetic engineering food .
indeed, i just know that , nowadays , many scientists are using the advanced technology to improve the quality of the food!
so which kind of food is GM food ?In my knowledge , i know that some of the tomatos , soy bean , chocolate...etc.
I don't know weather your country had imported such kind of food or not!
In H.K. , because there are no labelling system,so actually , we, consumers do not know the exact ingredients of the food . in other words , we don't know wether we are buying GM food or not!
So some people expressed their worries and concerns and urge for labelling system!
And the worries of citizen is indeed understandable , it is because this technology is not yet fully developed . Besides , there are no scientific and medical evidence prove that GM food is harmful or good to mankind!So i think it is quite risky to eat GM food!
However , i think ,may be ,most of us are eating but we don't know!
