I didn't find a school which could give me some courses for over 4 hours per day.
because most english schools give only 4 hours per day : 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. And i think that is not enough to learn the language for a foreign student.
so i am sad about this

Wow, you can't find more than 4 hours a day? At my school in Canada you will study 3.5 hours in the morning and 2.5 in the afternoon. You are right that you need more time in class to learn a language, but not only in class. You must also learn outside of class, using the langauage in real situations. My school, the Canadian Language Learning Centre (www.CLLC.ca) has weekly social activities in which teachers and students go together on short trips, sightseeing, and such. Nowadays, English is international language that is very important in our life because if you know more about English, you can communicate with other people in the world and it also helps you to have a good chance in work, study and have high quality life. There are a lot of methods to study English such as learning and practice English skill based (speaking, listening, reading and writing) by yourself from many sources; internet, television, newspaper or books.
In my opinion, GEOS in Christchurch: New Zealand is one place to choose to study English for several reasons. It�s great place to learn English, Christchurch is interesting city and you can get more experiences in a new lifestyle.
First of all, GEOS located in the central city that have a good public utility and near places such as shop, bank, the post office, theatre, caf� and international restaurant. It�s very convenient for students because they can walk few steps from bus stops to school. Students can choose a lot of interesting course that suits for them such as IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, General English, and English for business. When the students come to class, they will use and learn English with vocabulary, structure and grammar as possible as they can. Students will get an extra take care from the teachers who have more experience and professional. In the class, it�s small and personal. The amounts of students are appropriate for learning because it has only 8-12 students per room. It�s very easy for teaching and made the student have more efficiency because teacher can give advice to the students one by one. Students will learn about innate character and cultures from other people in class because most of them come from multi culture. It made atmosphere in studying enjoy and student also enthusiastic.
Moreover, at GEOS, there are many services that support the students between studies. There has study corner which student can use free internet, search knowledge from self access center and relax their tension and anxious in the recreation room. In addition to, GEOS offer counselors in order to solve and advice some problems for the student. There have useful programs besides class for the student such as excursion, sport and social.
Second, Christchurch is known as �The garden city�. It�s surrounded with a lot of trees and lively atmosphere. It�s clean, safe and has a good climate. The fresh air in the morning made the students feel refresh and ready to study in class. The warm summer and cold winter is great to do outdoor activities such as fishing, rafting, jet boating, swimming, surfing, and horse trekking. There are many travels attractive to visit where student can choose to explore outside their class such as sheltered bays, sandy beach, bush clad valley and the rocky coastline of Bank Peninsula.
Finally, at GEOS provide a home stay for students. It�s a good way in learning because the students can learn Kiwi�s culture and practice English skills at the same time. The students can enjoy and discover more about New Zealander�s lifestyle from host family. And they can get more new useful experience that they never had when they live in their country such as tolerance, friends, adapting in new environment and they also look after their self more than previously.

I am a Canadian ESL teacher (in Korea now). Do not only listen to the school or teachers. Some English schools are horrible (only want money). Some are really good. I have seen many of them. Always try to find students who went to these schools and ask them. Student opinion is the most important thing.
Also, don't forget that studying is not the most important thing. You really learn most of your English outside the school if you are in an English speaking country. I lived in Japan, China, and Korea, and I learned all these languages by reading signs, trying to talk to people, etc... If you go to an English country and study 6 hours a day but only speak your native language to your friends, you will not learn as much English as someone who studies 2 hours a day and always speaks English outside the classroom.

This is just my advice. I hope it helps.

Awww u live in Korea now ? My fav English teacher lives there now and he is Canadian too . That is sooo awesome . He is the only one that made me speak English all the time in my English skool .
Now , i quit my english skool 'cuz i dont find any interest there . Teachers just taught their lessons and it got bored . So i quit and now , i study English myself .
Most of friends always speak in Vietnamese in my english skool ( oh well i live in Viet Nam ) And there was a guy , he is mixed ( vietnamese and french ) , people kept talking vietnamese in class and he was like " what the heck re they talkign about ?" It was soo mean to that dude , right ?And how about the foreign teachers ?! Why do people keep speaking their mother languages at English skool ?! Waste of money !
Practice makes perfect ! You dont need to spend much time on doing bunchs of exercises to improve ur grammar ( it's the way that many students in my country do ) It wont help you to have a oerfect english ! Watching movie and talk in English to anyone that you can .
Anywayz i think English skool is not the only way to study English .

Oh wellllllllllllllllllll ! I agree with Snake. In some English schools, people just speak their own language.In my English class(at school,not at some English teaching centers)We always speak in English (sometimes French),not Korean.Vietnamese.Chinese,Malaysian or somethin'.This is very important for our speaking skill and our listening skill.If we speak our own languages( i mean that not English or French),you have to be in the detention !!! (ooooooooooooohhhhhhh). In my English teaching center, the students in the class speak Vietnamese. In my class( English teaching center), there are 3 people who is NOT Vietnamese: Korean, Chinese and Spanish ! Thay can speak English well but not their reading and writing skill.

Studying within a class setting for too many hours can actually be counter-productive. Students can only really concentrate for short periods of time. Spending too many hours in the classroom setting may even put you off the language. There is also a limit to the amount of information that can be retained on a daily basis. It is better to take the language small pieces at a time. Ensure that you have mastered each part before you move onto the next part.

hye..i agree with what hayde say..learned english from outside of your school..i also learn english from reading the sign and i thinks that is the best way to improve your speaking..otherwise, your vocabulary also is very important...try to read at least one book per day to gain as much vocabulary..i thinked that way also will help you in gaining your knowledge in vocabulary..that is my advice to you...try it..
