The computer has improved world wide for many reasons. For example
It helps people to communicate (E-mail, chat and etc)
Many people use computer to find out information
In these days companies use computers for advertising, shopping and etc

Computers make our lives better, environment and our social life.
All these reasons are how computers helped improve world wide.

I suppose they do those things, but the Internet might bring me to academic ruin if I'm not careful.

That all are true.
I only wish that human being do not lose its identidity, sociability and many things.

Probably, 10 year ago at the beginning of Internet era I read an interesting article which said a man is being lived in a flat during 6 monts without go out. He bought everything he need it throught the web.

Nowadays, that is truly possible.

I majored in computer engineering at my college, but I'm definitely not a good student! Flankly speaking, I dislike the courses that I learned at college, and I graduated just because of good luck! Using the computer to deal with documents or surf the internet or do some other things is one thing, but learning to write a program or studying the interior components of a computer and those complicated circuits is another thing. Some of my schoolmates are engaged in R&D now. I admire them very much because they are doing the creative jobs. Without these hard-working guys, we wouldn't have the opportunity to enjoy the convenience accompanied with the advanced technology. Anyway, being a simple computer user is happy no matter what you use the computer for. Just try to control your time for using the computer so as not to become a computer addict!

I agree that computers make our lives better if we use in good way. For example we use to do work or to search about good things.
