I happened to read this article, which was published in TIME magazine and I faced some sentences that were kind of obscure.
Actually, English is my third language that follows Arabic, and Hebrew, and I'd like to know how difficult TIME magazine is. Speaking for myself, I'd say it's supremely difficult. Yet challenge is my key point, and challenge is like a fun for me.
I faced a sentence that appeared kind of vague for me:
"Howard had landed in England a country in which football coaches get knighted, a smash TV drama is devoted to players' wives and each game is dissected like the evacuation of Dunkirk. "It's just enveloping," says Eddie Lewis, a U.S. midfielder who has played the last four years in England.".
In fact, I tried to find a relationship between the evacuation of Dunkirk and the dissection of that game, though it seems I ain't that good at history. |

There is no conection between the evacuation of Dunkirk (Dunquerque) and the football game except that the evacuation has been analysed over and over again in minute detail, and so has every football game.
In Britain they do seem to be obsessed with football. |
