If it is possible, skip ahead and look at the questions before you read the passage. If you do that, you will know what you need to look for when you read it. Then, do a very quick reading for the most important points. Don't try to read it all, try to find the main ideas, which often come at the beginning (or sometimes at the end) of the paragraphs. After that, read the full selection, paying careful attention to the things that the questions are asking about. I don't know if they will help you with reading in general, but these are tips on the art of taking tests that I learned a long time ago.

LucentShade,if you see it ,could you write down some of your personal information here especially about your learning experiences so that I can know you better, and then maybe we can become friends.
I was a college student in china.what about you?

Embarassed I am learning English in HTC now, I am in the program is call: The Project Access. This program, it seem like really help me to prepair my skills for reading, writing and listening before I go to my main program(Medical Administrative Assistant). But sometime, I just feel not really confident about my English in Reading and Writing in the future with my major, even though I am doing fine in ESL program so far. Coud you give me any suggestion for reading skills ane writing skils. Thank you very much Wink
