The commmon brief is that italians invented the pizza. i know about that also. however the origins go back to the ancient time. babylonians, israelties, egyptations and other ancient middle eastern cultures werw eating flat, un-leaven bread that had been cooked in mud oven.
Futher it is known that ancient medditerrianean people such as the greeks, romans and egypation were eating a bread, topped seasoned with olive oil and native spices.
