Dear friends.
Is advisable using an electronic monolingual dictionary?
I'm thinking of buying one because it is small and easy to take in my bag but I'm wondering if it is good for intermediate lerners.
It has the webster's collegiate dictionary inside and it can pronouce the words.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks.

Hello!
Of course it's good! It's a useful dictionary. I guess as long as it isn't your language you'll always need a dictionary, and it's better having a practical one.
Of course, as an intermediate learner you'd try not to depend on it, but believe me, it's a useful way to continue learning.

I think we'll never get appart from the dictionary, not until the super-advanced, if it exists. While, you must also consider you may know the meaning of a word but how can you use it? The dictionary is a good help to REINFORCE your language. That's why I say you'll always need it. I always bring it with me, but you can imagine: The super dictionary, hyge, 700 pages. Razz
I'm the dictionary lawyer, as you can see. Very Happy

Bye!
