Hello everybody!
Today, the weather here is grey and sad. And as I have no special plans apart studying, I thought that it would be a great idea to meet new people on the Internet who are in other countries. It would be also the occasion for me to practice my english and to share lots of things with you.
My name is Julie and I live in Geneva, Switzerland.
I am half Swiss (Dad) and half Chinese (Mum).
I am working for a cosmetic company, and beside this job, I am also studying finance and accounting.
I like travelling, singing, reading and also cooking!!
I am looking for your questions and also to know you more.
With Love,
Julie |

Hi. I live in Japan. I would be also to practice my English.
I have a friend who lives in Switzerland, so I am interested in Swiss.
It is nice weather in Japan today. It is hot but nice and cool wind.
I am a student, and I am studying English.
Can I ask you a question?? What languages do you speak??
Because I heard Swiss has three languages; German, French, and Italian.
My Swiss friend speaks German, she said that, because she lives in near the side of Germany. |

Hi, Julie!
I'd be glad to be friends with you and help you with English.
I'm an American man named Aaron from the Boston area.
One of these days I hope to visit China, a country that
fascinates me. I especially would like to visit Shanghai and
Beijing.
I'm 41, married to a government employee, and I work as
a janitor in a nursing center.
How is life in Switzerland? I hope we become good friends.

Sazae-san, konnichiwa!
I had to greet you because I like Japan, and because of your
name. I have heard of Japan's famous "Sazae-san" newspaper
manga and TV anime series, and have even seen one or 2
episodes of it. Sazae-san has long been a symbol of the Japanese
spirit and modern culture.
What do you study?
Have a great week, both of you! Julie and Sazae-san!

Hello everybody !!
Many thanks for your replies, it is so nice!!!
***********
Dear GPS,
I will send you a great letter by e-mail once I have time to.
Thanks and I am looking forward to know you.

Dear Sazaesan,
Nice to meet you and a big thank you for your e-mail.
You are right, here in Switzerland, there are three important languages, French, German and Italian.
For my part, I speak French and have learned German at school. In our country, there are different parts and every part has his own official language.
As you mentioned, your friend speaks German because she lives near Germany, and as I live near France, I speak French.
It is fantastic that you live in Japan! It seems to be a great place.
Japan reflects a very modern and fascinated image with beautiful places. I really hope that I would have the chance to visit this country once in my life.
In which town do you live? How old are you? And what are your hobbies? (I am curious...)
**************
Hello Aaron,
Many thanks for your great e-mail, I would also be glad to be friends with you and I am sure that your help with my english will be necessaryha ha ha
China also fascinates me. I have been there three times to visit my mothers family. I have great memories from over there. Our family over there lives in a town called Nanning.
The landscapes are wonderful and there are a lot of nice places to see.
We also went to Hong Kong! And it is huge Incredible. There are so many people and so many buildings and streets which are similar that we can get lost easily
I really hope that you will have the opportunity to go to Shanghai and Beijing And I am already looking forward to your comments and pictures!!!
Life in Switzerland is nice.
As I have written in my first e-mail, I work for a cosmetic company for almost two years. I am a junior accountant and I am attending finance and accounting classes to get a diploma.
Otherwise, I live alone in Geneva. I have a great flat for a year now.
My parents and most of my friends live in Lausanne, another town a little bit far so I see them not very often. This is the price to pay to be independent!!
Stop talking about me. What about you Aaron? How is life in Boston? Have you ever been to Europe? What are you hobbies?
Looking forward to hear from you all soon!!
With Love,
Julie |

Hi Rumy,
I have limited access to internet as I am in business travelling.
Just a word to say that I don't have the time to write you these two descriptions. Maybe you can contact one of my French friend from Paris : [email protected], she can maybe help you.
Sorry! |

Hi,
Im Tenne, a college student in a southeastern city of China, Xiamen. My major is English. I would like to make friends with you and I m so glad to share wonderful things and practice my English with you.
Switzerland is a beautiful country and I dreamed to be there for long! Im a 21-year-old girl who still likes Disney cartoons and toys. Music is one important part of my life and I like piano music, pop music and rock and roll. China is a big magic place so Id like to travel all around it. I like nature, all animals and plants in the world. Have you been to China with your mother? Do you think China is also a wonderful place to live in?
With love,
Tenne
