Please tell me what this line means.........?

Is a rhetorical question. He is asking himself whether IT (unspecified) makes him appreciate the worth of the freedoms he does have.

It does make me value the freedoms I do have.Is not a question and does not need the question mark.

He asserts that IT (unspecified) makes him appreciate the worth of the freedoms he has.

Would you please tell me the difference between:

value the freedom I do have and
value the freedoms I do have?

It doesn't make a difference in this case. Technically, if you choose to use the plural, you are talking about each of the specific freedoms you have (e.g, the freedom of speech, the freedom of association, the freedom of religion, etc.). If you choose to use the singular, you are talking about all of your freedoms as one group. As a practical matter, they have the same meaning.
