as an replacement for the freaking verbal part of the SAT. SAT verbal is way too hard for foreign students (and even for americans).

I think TOFEl is just needed to international student for application
My reason is same as yours.
I wanna study Pre-Pharmacy course at University.  |

Hi! I'm Japanese student. The reason why I study English is just for apply University in U.S.A. I need to get higher than 213. So I study hard everyday. I want to study in U.S.A, and I want to make friends who came from all over the world  |

I want to learn about Toefl.But my friend said that TOEFL cannot be applied for many countries.So I am trying to do IELTS. Because this can be applied more than TOEFL.  |

i'm now in Canada, if i want to get to the U here, i have to take the TOEFL, i think it's just a test of english for international students or students that have less than 3 years in Canada ( like me) to make sure that they can survive in University  => that was what my TOEFL teacher said
