Let's get together for a drink or two soon.

We had a family get-together last week. (informal meeting)

Think about that, when you are married, getting together with old drinking buddies after work may not be permitted by your new wife.

Thank you. Smile
Does it mean 'to meet with someone' or 'meeting'?

A get-together is an informal gathering, so it is a meeting.
Let's meet = let's get together. same thing.
