August 15th of the Chinese lunar calendar is the Mid-Autumn Festval (Moon Festival) day. (It fell on Sept. 28 of this year.)
we buy mooncakes and pomelos on the festival.

we buy mooncakes and pomelos for the festival.
any wrong ones here?

Only the first one is incorrect.
The second and third ones are correct and natural-sounding, but as you probably know, they are not exactly equivalent.
I hope you enjoyed the festival. |
