Today's assignment comes from the homework assigned last class (look at your copy).
Short Essay:
Write 30 words on ONE of the topics below.
1. Write about the various times you have used English outside of your regular English class. For example, while traveling abroad, speaking with a foreigner, listening to the radio, etc.
2. Why has English become such an important part of Japanese education? Should it be such an important part? Also, what do you think about English being the main international language?
3. What are some good ways to improve your speaking and listening ability in English?
4. Write about whether more time should be given in high school English classes to speaking and listening.
5. Write about whether other languages besides English should be offered in high school.
