This is the current news from Taiwan. A cameraman was drowned because his dedicated responsibility for his job.

It was because of the mandotory report to cover the autocade trip by our high-ranking official to inspect the activation of the river diversion channel on this particular day, when Typhoon came and left us some regrets.

A team of news reporters were informed of this government move which was later claimed a political stunt, set off to the river site where they planned to shut a brief coverage of this channel activation. But, quickly, they were once informed that the trip was delayed by some falling rocks. That was a bit too late for them to evacuate off the site after they were last notified of the cancellation of the trip. Then, beacuse they'd been waiting there for hours and unaware of the actual activation of channel, they were sieged by the growing level of waters. The heart-breaking moment came after one of the reporters sacrificed his life to give his last push to another female reporter onto the rescue boat and then got flushed away. Not too much expect for the lost reporter, he was finally found drowned hours later.

Today, it's the 4th day after this tragedy took place and our society's been filled with yaps.

It's hard to draw the line between survival and success. From the remarks of the survive reporters, the hero man was even carrying his camera equipment at the last minute before he was gulfed by the water. It's sensational but it's also revealing the serious problem of our deformed journalism and pressure to live in this value-changing society.

Not in Taiwan, in all other countries, stories like this is just a common piece but when it comes to you, it becomes a lifelong moment, memory. Please tell me how you comment on this.......

I think we should give our honour to this reporter. He is really dedicated to his job. I was suprised at the statement "the hero man was even carrying his camera equipment at the last minute before he was gulfed by the water". However, I think it's not worthwile to sacrifice our life for a job.
It goes without saying that the family members of the hero are sad even they know he is a hero. Think about this: if he has a wife and children, is it fair that his wife has to raise the whole family by herself?
