Hello,
I'm new to this website-in fact it's my first post. I've been viewing the threads for a while, and I decided to jump in. I taught for one year in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do, ending in September, and I've decided to go back in January for at least another year.

Gunsan was alright, but it got boring after awhile, being only about a quarter of a million people. I'm considering mainly Daejeon or Daegu because mid-size seems good for me. I've spent alot of time in Seoul, and it's a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I want to live in a big city, but not a BIG city.

-Has anyone lived in either of these two cities? I've never actually been to either. Which is better? Are they both bad? Is there any other mid-size city you could recommend? Kwangju is pretty cool, but kind of far from other places in the north, like Busan. I'm interested mainly in Korean language lesson opps, friendly people, things to do, ESL teacher community, night life, etc. Thanks
