Hi everyone, my name is Christine. I am Taiwanese. Today I want to share this topic with all you guys.
The life in Taiwan is full of varieties, especially nightlife. People can go to clubs, bars and night markets. For relaxing activities, you can go to movies; but if you like to drink and talk with friends, a pub or lounge is a better choice. For active activities you can go to KTV to improve your singing. If you are interested in local food, a night market would be the perfect place. At a nigtht market you can try many kinds of Taiwanese food, such as, oyster omelet, eel noodle, fried rice noodles, stinky tofu, pig's blood cake, oyster thin noodles, coffin, pork thick soup, squid soup and so on. You can also do a little shopping at the night market.
If you have a opportunity to visit Taiwan, you can not miss it.
How about yours? What kind of nightlife activities do you like. |

This is a place where people can practice English but criticize.
China is china, Taiwan is Taiwan, word in dictionary doesn't means any good.

Hey, china person
you are really funny one, why did you go to Taiwan "twice" with so many complaints. You don't have to go to anywhere if you don't like it, right!
Funny guy!! I don't know the words in dictionary mean so much to you, you must be very hard to check every word in dictionaries. Give you a huge hand!! however, words are updating everyday, so keep your hard studying. Showing your political views are not very good here, sweet guy/lady. Trying to think something good if you are still proud of being a Chinese.
相煎何太急..UNDERSTAND!!?? It's not your trun!! |

Oh,everybody please calm down.
For me,though it sounds weird,I still think taiwanese is as acceptable as cantonese, which just is a symbol of the population in one province but not a country, and both taiwanese and cantonese are Chinese is fixed.
to life0612,it's no doubt that Chinese are always proud of being Chinese.

Actually, it is needless to say that Taiwan is a good country to visit..If you have an opportunity to visit Taiwan, it's my firm belief that you will find~~such a beautiful country it is..not just you say that Taiwan is not so special..On the country..i want to say a truth..the china is very very common........no country can win it...i have to say that you can disagree what the christine said, but you can't criticize Taiwan..and on the other hand.."Taiwan is Taiwan" not belongs China..Where is China..i don't know..and..i am very proud that i am a Taiwanese.. |

Haha...I think ur dictionary is very poor and old; do u know the dictionary is produced by people? Obviously, u don't know cause u live in an unprogressive country;I feel sad and pity for u since u don't understand how to distinguish good from bad; it's so regrettable that u have eyes!! Besides, Taiwan is really famous because China always tyrannizes Taiwan; thus everyone who has communicating products and facilities knows TAIWAN!! I consider ur 中国人不打中国人 is deceit. I am so proud I was born in Taiwan but China because I have many things that all of u are always eager for; if Taiwan was not a good country, why would a lot of u want to live here and don't wanna come back? Therefore, I conseder ur words are NOT CORRECT!! |

Of course taiwan is modern and beautiful and nobody doubt it.
karys,I am so surprise that you don't no where China is.You should know China is the 3rd largest country in the world and you are in China now.Now I am wondering that have you ever gone to school because your reply makes you look like a moron.haha
ridotia, you make the same mistake with karys. You know I don't want to talk political stuff here in culture section. But I should say to be a independent country should be recognized by most countries of the world. You look around the world and tell me eventually how many countries exactly recognize what you say?The truth that taiwan is a part of China is recognized by most countries and has been fixed.Do you know what did Powell say about taiwan? He said "Taiwan is not independent. It does not enjoy sovereignty as a nation, and that remains our policy, our firm policy".
