do you believe that Juses died on the cross???
i think everyone should ask this question...
because according to Jesus he prayed not to die on the cross
(Luke 22:42) : "Saying, Father if thou be willing; remove this
cup from me: neverthless not my will, but thine, be done".
(cup means the cup of death)
God accepted his prayer not to die on the cross according to Luke, Hebrew and James...
Also Jesus himself stated that he did not die on the cross...
early Sunday morning Mary Magdalene went to the sepulchre, which was empty. She saw somebody standing who looked like a gardener. She recognized him after conversation to be Jesus and wanted to touch him. Jesus said:
(John 20:17) : "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father..."
"Touch me not" perhaps because the fresh wounds would hurt him.
"I am not yet ascended to my Father" means that he was still alive, not dead yet, because if somebody dies then he goes back to the Creator. this is a strong proof admitted by Jesus...
tell me what do you think??????????? |

Your observations are interesting but I have to tell you that he did die as he was arrested by the romans and then crucified. He said some words along the lines of "Destroy this temple and I will rebuild it in 3 days" in which he was referring to his own body. 3 days after his crucifixion he was resurrected. God did hear his prayer but Jesus actually said "Lord, I do not wish to die but if you command it I will obey". He died for our sins and in doing so accepted the punishment that we should have received and thus we have to be grateful for that. That is what Cristianity is all about.
fa6ma, from what I have read you are a muslim. Is this correct? If so then please tell me how the Koran refers to Jesus as I have noticed that the Koran's philosphy and the Christian Bible's Old Testement is almost the same. |

hiiiiiiii
thanks for replying...
i believe that Jesus is a prophet... i have read lots of books about him... and i have found lots of points that oppose each other... is he God??? or Son of God??? or a prophet???
thats why i asked this question to understand what people believe in...
Lets see...
the Jews maintained to have killed Jesus on the cross and consequently portrayed him to be false in his claims to prophethood... Christians believe in the crucifixion necessary for thier redemption of sin and consequently have to accept the accursedness of Jesus, too.
This belief opposes the Bible's teaching in Hosea 6:6
"For I desired mercy and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of
God more than burnt-offerings".
it also opposes Jesus's own teaching (Matthew 9:13)
"But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy,
and not sacrifice..."
Paul taught the resurrection... Paul, who never saw Jesus, admitted that the resurrection was his gospel (II Timothy )
"Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised
from the dead according to my gospel".
Paul was also the first who declared Jesus as Son of God...
So Christianity is not a teaching of Jesus but of Paul...
what do you think???????????? |
