US launches massive Falluja raid

The attack destroyed several buildings in Falluja
At least eight people have been killed in US strikes on the volatile Iraqi city of Falluja, doctors say.
They said 15 other people were injured, as US planes, tanks and artillery units shelled the city which lies about 40 miles (65km) west of Baghdad

The people in Fallujahwhom the USA are fighting are terrorists from Jordan and other countries as well as Sunni muslims from Iraq. They are trying to destabilize Iraq so that they can take power themselves.
The tactic of fighting from buildings where there are women and children is a favourite of Islamic terrorists. They hope the enemy will not attack, but if it does, then there will be civilians killed, with the resulting propaganda value. It is the same tactic as that used by the Palestinian terrorists such as Hamas.
All of them have cast aside all pretext of civilized behaviour and are attempting to so disgust the rest of us that we will give in to their demands.
However, I think they have forgotten America's resolve whenever it has been attacked.

I argee with mkg1211. However asterix is correct too. The terrorists do use inhabited buildings to launch strikes on the occupying forces. However Bush and gang may excercise a bit more care and caution while shooting. I guess they are too trigger happy.

I think that the whole world have seen " America's resolve " Filthy Asterix
American soldiers are committing war crimes in the name of America and in the name of the fake American Democracy . THEY are shooting wounded militants while they are alive . They are shooting preyers in the Mosque . You should be proud of them as you are proud of the Israeli military who taught you the way of killing innocents . You are extremists who hate Arabs and WE hate you all .

Americans are accused of arrogantly thinking that we are "saintly", yet when a few American soldiers do something horribly wrong, it seems to come as a shock to many people.

The soldiers who do these stupid and awful things don't and can't represent the majority of the soldiers in the Middle East. Nor do they represent the majority of Americans! Have you heard about the soldiers helping in schools, or rebuilding what Saddam and his supporters took away from the people? If you have, you've heard very little. And you probably don't care. Why is that? Why are we hated for trying to do good, and hated more when a minority of us fail in that regard?

You say that I hate you because I am an American. Yet, I would gladly and freely offer to help you with English (the reason I'm even posting on here). I would pray that your hate would melt away. I would pray that your people would find healing and that your family would have all they need. Does that properly represent my American hate for you?!

This is a war they are fighting in Iraq.
In this war Mosques are being used as bases for terrorists to operate from and as weapons caches. They lose any immunity they would normally have. The terrorists are people who are brave enough to kill unarmed women and children but when they run into real soldiers we are all supposed to feel sorry for them?
I don't think so.

When the terrorists use the mosque as cover, the US soldiers(according to me) have full authority to attack them. After all, no religion is more important than human life. However, it is the killing of innocents that I object. I agree the terrorists attack innocents too. But is it necessary to become a devil to kill a devil. I hope you agree that civilian casualties could have been reduced if the coalition forces had been less trigger happy. We can't expect a better treatment from the terrorists but the American people are understanding and peace loving.

The Arabic world has been blaiming America for existing of America there and they`ve been awaiting when America will leave this country. The civilian world will blaim America much more than now if they leave Iraq because, firstly, The West will lose geopolitical control there, secondly, waves of terrorists will flow to the north (to fight for new countries).
Don`t you think, Diana, that a civilian war happent already there?

The US will always get criticized no matter what they do. When they supported Saddam in the 1980s, America was criticized for supporting a dictator. When the US finally took out Saddam, America still gets criticized for taking him out. When America invaded Iraq, they get criticized for it. When they refuse to intervene in Liberia as the world wanted them to, they get criticized for that to. So, what difference does it make?

Civilian war? What civilian war? The US is there in Iraq rebuilding a country. They are trying to set up elections for the people. Who do you think is now destroying the electricity and water that serves the Iraqi people? Who are the ones who don't want elections to take place and threatening the Iraqi people not to vote otherwise they would kill them. Did you ever ask yourself why the terrorists don't want the Iraqi people to vote? After all, it is only an election. Why are they not interested in knowing what the majority of Iraqis want?

The US ALONG WITH THE IRAQI police and army are going after the terrorists. If the majority of the Iraqi people really support the terrorists, then why are the terrorists threatening the Iraqi people not to go to work????? DUH!!! Why are the terrorists coming out in TV and publishing their threats to the people not to support the US?????? DUH!!!! You know why? Because it's not ONLY A FEW Iraqis. The terrorists are aware that a large majority of the Iraqi people are supporting the US and helping them fight them. The US have trained and graduated more Iraqi National Guards, and the terrorists recruits are very few.
