You can say, "Make an effort", or "Make the effort".
e.g. Bill did not make an effort to get up in time and so he missed the bus.
OR, Bill did not make the effort required to pass his exams. |

Thanks.
I think "make an effort," "make the effort," and "make efforts" are all correct, but "make effort" is incorrect. Would you agree? |
