What's *Christian Slater vehicle*?

Here's an excerpt-

With the possible exception of *Christian Slater vehile,* few words chill the heart of a movi critic faster than coming-of-age story.

Thanks

Hi there,

film reviews do often use slightly strange language......

Here
Quote:

'Christian Slater vehicle' is describing a film that appears only to have been made to 'show' Christian Slater in other words only to give him a film to appear in.

Anyone able to gve a clearer explanation - please do

It is a gratuitous insult to Christian Slater, whom the reviewer considers to be either a poor actor, or one unfortunate enough to have been in poor films.

This reviewer is saying, in an oblique way, that movie critics hate "coming of age" movies almost as much as they hate any movie with Christain Slater in it.
