Laughing hi, everyone from all over the world. I am a chinese girl. It's the first time I post a topic. I got to know this website accidentally.
Wish everyone a happy new year, though it's oneday late already.
By the way, I read a meassage when browsering the messages minutes ago. I really felt very sad to read a taiwan friend to doubt the taiwan is a part of china or not. I do not konw whether I am patriotic. But one thing is for sure: it really does not make any chinese feel good.

If you could tell me something about the area where you live (where do you live? North? South? West? East?), I'd be really happy Very Happy

Nice to meet you guys!
I'm a boy Embarassed from Taiwan...
Is Taiwan a part of China?
We live in Taiwan don't think so... maybe some say yes...
Although we speak Chinese, too...
But if we said that we don't belong to China, maybe a war will begin...
Taiwan is just a small island beside China...
And I just want a peaceful world Wink

I feel that Taiwan and China should be different~~
Whatever culture, life style, expression and so on.
But anyway, I don't care which ethnic I belong.
I Just know I am very happy so far.
I can study and live with my favorite family and friends happily everyday. In my vacant hours, I can do anything I'd love to do.
For example, I can make many friends at here. Very Happy
I am enjoying such comfortable life. Y^O^Y!!!!

philanthropist, thank you so much for your reply. I live in the centre of China, to be exact, I'm now pursuing my university study in this city(武汉). It's extremely cold here in winter and hot in summer, which makes the weather not agreeable. Not all the cities in China is of this style, It is a special one. It is a large city, which is divided into three major parts. It uasually takes at least one hour to get to another part. On Jan,1st, I went to the bank of Changjiang(the longest river in China.) to have a walk. It is really a very beatiful view to enjoy.
As to the issue, I don't know how to explan it. It is a chronic intricate political problem in China. We chinese people thing Taiwan is a provinve belonging to China, but Taiwan holds another attitude. It is just out of an impulse that I posted the words. After all, we are accustomed to accept the remarks our goverment claims and the history we know.

hi, rfy71 and vincent, thank you for your disagreement. I know everyone has his own opinion. We live in different cultures, learn different history and recieve different education. So it's natural that we hold varied opinions. In fact, I don't care much about the issue, it has nothing important to me. It is an impulsory reaction and cannot be changed easily.
