the verb to "Monitor" is to watch over something, but not normally used in a conversational context. It is more likely used as a noun, "computer monitor" (screen).
"Surveillance" is the noun referring to the act of watching over something. The verb form is to "surveille"
"By constant surveillance of the suspect's house, the police were able to aprehend him for his crimes." |
