Is there anything wrong with the puntuation of the sentence below?
She has received a lot of praises for the book, Harry Potter.

She has received a lot of praise for the book, Harry Potter.

Is correct - note that you don't need the final "s" on praise.

"punctuation" is the correct spelling.

Hey,
Sorry to bother again. Why is the final "s" unneccesary? I checked the Encarta dictionary and it says an "s" is required when plural.

Thanks

Uncountable noun according to Cambridge Online Dictionary:

praise [Show phonetics]
noun [U]
when you say or show your admiration and approval for someone or something:
They deserve praise for all their hard work.
His economic policies have won widespread praise for reducing government debt.
Praise from Adrian is (high) praise indeed (= Praise from Adrian is particularly special because he rarely praises anyone).
