Hello, This is my first time being here, and I am glad to join this forum.

I am a male student from Taiwan, age 23. I'm living in Taipei County at present.
Taipei, like other Asian cities, has been more and more internationalized in recent years,
so students here must learn English well in order to get a great paying job.

I served my military service in 2001-2003, after that I faced the choice of getting a job
or pursuing better degree, I choosed the latter. To acquire English proficiency, I study
English hard every day, with a view to getting good TOEIC grades.

I'll keep studying hard, nevetherless, my speaking and writing is very poor due to lack
of practices. Hoping to make penpals through Internet to practice English, I'm willing
to help you practice Mandarin too.

Let's talk Very Happy

Speaking of Minnesota, MY favorite NBA team is Timberwolves Very Happy

As to Taiwan, the urban area is very crowded, because there are 23 million people living in this small island. Perhaps 1/10 of the population live or work in Taipei.Quite a few Taipei citizens like going to the country side or the beaches on weekend.

On the other hand, life in city is rich in convenience. You can find many food stalls in the strees any time of the day.In general, Taiwanes work very hard.

I spend most of my time in the cities, so I probably can not tell you all the facts about Taiwan. Cool

Cool cool! Someone added me to their contact list...now I realize that it's you. I must confess that I forgot your name between the time I replied and the time you added me, so when I read your profile I was quite confused. Wink
