When your hari is dry, create a glassy finish by "blasting" locks with cool air, using your blow-dryer's "cool-shot"button, for a few minutes.

Could anyone define the *blasting* and *cool-shot* button?

My best guesses:

blasting - In this context, I would say that it is the directing of a short burst of air (a couple of seconds) to your hair. However, they then say "for a few minutes." So probably they mean continual short bursts (on, off, on, off,..) over the period of a few minutes.

cool-shot button - Apparently, blow-dryers have a special button for blowing unheated air. "Shot" is synonymous with "blast" in this context.
