Sort of.

1.Everyone's friend is no one's friend.(Italian proverb) |
A person who is busy being friendly to everyone is too busy to help you when you need it. Especially if your troubles are caused by an enemy, the "friendly person" will not stand by you because they are also trying to be friends with your enemy.

Not sure. Maybe something about being weak and too easily changed in a desire to make friends with anyone (no strength of character). You cannot trust such a person because they can quickly be changed away from being your friend to become friends with someone else.

3.Friends are made in wine and proven in tears.(German proverb) |
People are quick to make or act as friends to share in drinks and everyone is feeling good. But true friends prove themselves in times of troubles (tears) and help each other. Similar to the English proverb: A friend, in need, is a friend indeed.

4.When husband and wife agree ,they will be able to dry up the oceans with buckets.(Vietnamese proverb) |
When a husband and wife act in harmony as a team, no task is too big for them, and they can achieve any goal when working together.

Possible meaning: For those who are closest to us, we know the most, and love the most, we often do not need much verbal communication. We know them well enough, we can anticipate their needs and wants and act to satisfy them with them having to ask.
Alternate meaning #1?: For our closest loved ones, we do not share our troubles, problems, or sins, because we do not want to bring worry and suffering onto their lives, maybe because we don't want them to see us in a bad light.
Alternate meaning #2?: somewhat similar to: Familiarity breeds contempt. |
