The famous verse of the Beatles "norwegian wood":
I cannot understand what is the meaning of "norwaysian wood".
Is it a forest look like the one in Norway?
Is it a furnituture made in Norwegian wood?
or other meaning?
Please let me know.

Mr.Bob S.
Thank you for your kind answer.
I found "wood" has another meaning in UK slang.
But I still cannot understand "Norwegian wood",
because in the last two lines ;

so I lit a fire isn't it good
Norwegian wood

In this situation John (or Paul) left alone in a girl's room.
Is he lighting a fire to his own wood ?
Why "Norwegian"? instead of "British"?

Please let me know.
