There are several reasons why America is quickly becoming an oppressed nation. First off the biggest one that comes to mind is the patriot act. Also oppression in schools and the amount of information that the government is hiding will be contained in here. I will cover all of these things in the following text and will put excerpts in bold. I will also provide a bibliography for all the references that I used to point out the facts of the American oppression.

The first and biggest concern for the American people is the Patriot Act. In case you do not know, the Patriot Act gives authority to hold any suspected terrorist indefinitely and without evidence. The problem with this is that it gives the people that have this authority the right to imprison anyone they wish simply by saying They are a terrorist! It is reminiscent of the Salem witch trials where any woman could be killed or tortured simply by accusing them of being a witch. The Patriot Act itself was passed using wicked tactics. The fact was that if congress actually read the Patriot Act, they might not have even passed it in the first place.
Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex) told the Washington Times that no member of Congress was allowed to read the first Patriot Act that was passed by the House on October 27, 2001.
The first Patriot act was not read by congress, and was not debated because congress was told not to read it, and debate over any issue of the patriot act would not be tolerated. It is important to note that no member of Congress was allowed to see the first Patriot Act before its passage, and that no debate was tolerate by the House and Senate leadership.

There is talk of a second Patriot Act that could go through congress. The first one kind of damaged our rights, but the second one it seems will kill the rest of them. Keep in mind that this may be no more than a rumor, but if there is indeed a second Patriot Act in the making, God help us all.
The second Patriot Act is a mirror image of powers that Julius Caesar and Adolph Hitler gave themselves. Whereas the First Patriot Act only gutted the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendments, and seriously damaged the Seventh and the Tenth, the Second Patriot Act reorganizes the entire Federal government as well as many areas of state government under the dictatorial control of the Justice Department, the Office of Homeland Security and the FEMA NORTHCOM military command. The Domestic Security Enhancement Act 2003, also known as the Second Patriot Act is by its very structure the definition of dictatorship.
The writer of the excerpts provided in this document urges all Americans to put the second Patriot Act under serious scrutiny.

The oppression in the schools is not necessarily totally because of the government. After the Littleton incident and the other school shootings that followed it. The schools have gotten incredibly strict about zero tolerance policy and what things students are allowed and not allowed to do. In Chesapeake, Va., a 12-year-old boy was expelled for waving a stapler on the school bus as if it were a gun, and pointing it at the driver. He may not re-enroll before May 2000. I am not the only person to think that schools were or are losing what little civil liberties they had in the first place.

What happened in Colorado was tragic,'' said ACLU legal director Raymond Vasvari. ``But it would be doubly tragic if those who took so many lives in Littleton were allowed to rob children across America of their right to free expression.''
I am not an advocate for school shootings, but I am an advocate to the students that are forced to go to these schools until they are at least sixteen, but cannot do so much as wear a virgin records T-shirt to school without being sent home. Schools are way too strict and they are brainwashing the students into believing that expressing yourself is not tolerated in the real world. The fact is that the real world is scared of kids growing up thinking that its ok to talk about the bad things the government is doing, or that its ok to wear a shirt that says Satan is my god. Being able to do these things are the very foundations of the freedom that America was built on. Oppression in schools does not stop there. The oppression goes clear up to religion. Know this because it is very important.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. People think this way because the first amendment was misinterpreted. The real purpose of the first amendment is to keep the government from creating a centralized religion that must be followed by law. The reason for this is because the original Americans were oppressed by The Church of England. The Church of England was a religion that must be followed by law in England, and all those who did not follow were killed for their unbelief.
Now on to a major conspiracy, one that could get someone killed. This conspiracy started on September 11th, 2001. It involved Bush, Bin Laden, oil, and power. All one has to do to see who was really behind the terrorist attacks is look at our president. He is benefiting the most out of anyone because of these attacks.

Bush is getting his way by programming the American people with fear. When people are afraid, you can make them do ANYTHING. Soon he will have complete control over America, and he will have billions of dollars from the foreign oil. The American people will be starving for the freedom and security we once had. The scariest part about this is that freedom is all we have left. If that is taken away, the American people will rise against Bush, and demand that he die. The American people will take his blood, but in doing this they are only taking back the blood that he stole from America. I will not mince words, nor dance around them. Bush is an evil tyrant that needs to be stopped. We are being destroyed by him, and we are being killed for stating the fact that his tyranny needs to be put to an end.

If you dont want to read the whole thing, just read the first and last paragraphs. It pretty much sums everything up. The reason it is so long is to point out all of my reasonings behind why I wrote what I did. I can call bush an idiot all I want but it is no more than a statement unless I can provide the facts of why I think that way.
