It means that some situation cannot endure. In this expression, "give" means "collapse." "Gotta" is a slang contraction for "got to" and means "has to (must)" in this sentence.
Everyone is amazed that Melissa has been dating Brad for three months now. Something's gotta give! They have nothing in common. |
