The most practical reason why students want to study abroad is for their future careers. In the job market, one who has ever studied abroad could guarantee a higher position and salary for the most part, at least in the beginning. Besides, students who major in language, such as English, French, etc., usually need to study abroad for further advancement. Furthermore, I think studying abraod not only enriches one's experience but makes one independent.

i am intending as well to study abroad. the reason is quite simple. first of all you live in a different country which means you get to know its language, its culture, you get to know other people making all the time new experiences. it is pretty exciting. besides it is rather well for your career.

I am a international student in Australia. I think another important reason is that many students study abroad because they wish to immigrate this country in the future. Study is their first step Smile

Hi!! My name is Mami. I am a college student in Japan too, and I study English and Chinese. So I would like to study abroad. And I think that many students would like to study abroad who study foreign languages. Because we can learn their cultures, and we can always use the language. So it is important for us to study abroad. I think that studying abroad develops our skill. And everyone said that studying abroad is good for experienced it. So Im interested in it, and would like to it. Razz Very Happy

I think that student's preferance to study abraod depends on more than one aspects....

1st: is there well qulified universities in his/her country?

2nd: dose the student find the major he/she intend to major in at these universities?...bcoz some countries can not afford a variety of majors..

another reason is that in some regions of the world, poeple are having colse relations with the family and don't live independantly when they turn 18 or so....so they think that studying abroad is an apportuinity for them to become more responsible and more independant....moreover, they can learn about other people's culture, language and lifestyle...

Each student studying aboard have a reasons for their choices. I want to study aboard, to study in an English - speaking country in order to use English perfectly! You cannot learn anything if you only stay at only one place! Go out will give you more images about the world you are living in! Perhaps it's much different from your thinking. Going or studying aboard give you more knowledge about other cultures all over the world. You will clearly understand why some things happen in the world, although nobody want... etc. I have some friends studying aboard and all of them say that studying aboard is the worthest time in their life, when they learn most! If you have a chance, donot miss!
