Hi, can anyone tell me the right definition of the british class system? I am a bit confused as I read a really great amount about this kind of system. Actually, it isn't that difficult but nevertheless I' ve got some quaestions.
It says, you are born into your class. That would mean that you don't have any chance to climb up the ladder (leiter?). If you are for instance born into the upper class, you have great fortune due to your great amount aof money, influence and social status.
(By the way, could you give me another expression for "great"?)
