Gee, Miss Daredevil

Why do you not get yourself a decent English-learners dictionary? My dictionary says:

If you have had your fill of something, you have had enough of it, and do not want to experience it any more or do it any more.

Using such a dictionary would have saved you from asking a question that you can answer yourself. Stop relying on others. Be self sufficient.

And what on earth are you reading? All the quotations you give seem to be taken from articles written in a very American and very journalistic style. You are reading articles far above the standard of your English, and so frequently you are challenging the writing of the professional. Why do you assume that you know more about English than they do? (Sorry; why do you assume you know more about English than they do?)

You are not asking because you are baffled or want to learn. You are simply nit picking. You are the classic pain in the ass.

#6, and the last one, as I don't have all day to track these down!

Let's title this one, "Advoca Yet Again Abuses a Student," and subtitle it, "... And Yet Again Bans Areas of Study."

(from Apr 2005)

Advoca, do this forum a favor and get lost for good!
