Dear teachers:
"Best regards", "Yours truly" and "Sincerely yours" are commonly placed at the end of a letter. Are they used depending on situations or are they equivalent?

It used to be common practice to end all business letters with "Yours faithfully,"
A letter to a friend would end, "Yours sincerely", or "yours truly"
I think this practice is no longer adhered to, and there is much less formality. |
