In one episode of The Simpsons. They all sang the song, The Garden of Eden.
Is that a church song? What is the name of the song?

No, not a church song. Therein lies the joke. It's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by the rock group Iron Butterfly (http://ironbutterflyfan.tripod.com/In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida-lyrics.html#In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida) the name of which kind of sounds like "In the Garden of Eden". The group Iron Butterfly is known for sort of psychadelic hard rock of a type you would not expect a devout preacher (like Lovejoy) to ever listen to. So they were almost finished with the song before he noticed what it was.  |
