I live in Japan. I had stayed in America to study for 5 months. I put on some weights there, but I dont mind it. In America many people are plump, so everyone is used to plump people. In Japan, however, many people are thin. Japanese hate getting fat and always want to lose weight, especially women. Sometimes they have no meal or reduce meals because they are worried about their appearances too much.
How about your country? How is plumpness considered? Is it important for you to keep up appearances? |

I think most of women in East Asia tend to love slim apperance. I could hardly find suitable clothes because most styles are from Japan, South Korea and Hongkong, so they are too slender for me. But fortunately there are so many local clothes manufactures producing clothes for Europe and US so I can choose the small size.
Now its summer here, well young ladies will be shy to wear one-piece dress or jacket without sleeves if they could not keep in fit Maybe its nature of woman. |
