Hmm, there is no specific law that requires you to love or even marry.
Love comes in many forms. It can come in the form of familial ties, friendship, and even in the form of your soul mate. Thus, if you don't love anyone, then you would be lacking a large portion of your emotion.
People have the ability to feel as nature had intended, whether we exercise this gift or not is not always entirely up to us to control.
Hmm, I hope I'm not confusing you..

What does it mean, "order you to marry"? What happens if you refuse? Can your parents send you to prison? If you refuse to put on a wedding dress and sign the marriage papers at the city government office (or where ever the marriage happens), can they legally beat you? Kill you? If you say to them "I will look for a husband when I finish university", what can they legally do? |

I can figure out what pinkhair meant, because I'm person of this eastern culture field,too. This indeed is a troublous problem. I think that
run its course will be better, no need to force anything,after all it is a little difficult to find so-called soul mate or still consider the factor of personal or economic and so on,anyway marriage need to be careful consideration, even after marriage both are must responsible for each other,so the marriage is not to be decided hurriedly. |

I am afraid you mix two different conceptions up. The love in the topic only refers to a specific form of love, which is romantic love, i.e. the love between lovers, rather than love from family members or friendship etc. as it is very obvious that you cannot marry your family members, such as your sister or brother  |

I'd like to make it clear. In most Asian countries, if a person refuses to get married when he is almost or over thirty (especially girls), his/her parents of course will not send him/her to prison. But, this is a big but, but they will keep urging him/her to find a Mr(s). Right to form a family, which is rather annoying. Other relatives will also introduce some people who they think will be suitable for the guy very warmheartedly. The worse thing is his/her colleagues and friends will think him/her abnormal. Therefore although it is not illegal and your life will not be in danger if you do not get married, you will not feel any good with such a situation.  |

| But anyway I think love is beautiful, which is a marvellous feeling. To live with the one who you are deeply loving with is the happiest thing in the world. So go ahead to find your Mr. Right. Good luck to you all. |

Because we are living in a organised society which needs sense of responsibilities. Otherwise pure sex would be enough. |

Ah, I understand. But let me tell you, it's not just Asian cultures. It's much the same all over the world. In rural U.S., there is a lot of social pressure to marry soon after you graduate high school or university, even though statistics show that early marriage leads to early divorce. |

That's quite easy, isn't it? If you strive for happiness, you have to love. Without a partner, I even can't imagine to live a fulfilled and happy life...I lost my boyfriend and yes...it's pretty hard and nasty...somethings's missing....a great deal is missing...   |
