1) Changes OF domicile
2) Changes IN residence status or period of stay, occupation, or name and place of employment.
Could you please tell me when I should say "change of" and when I sould say " Change in"?

If you just moved, you would fill out a "change of address" form at the post office. Really, most of the time people would just say "I changed jobs" as opposed to "I had a change of profession".
I actually have no idea, and I speak the darn language. |

In some of their uses, Of, and In are interchangeable, as they are in your example. |
