My sister wrote to a person and accidentally miswrote the time of her arrival in Canada.
When I received the person's strange response, I checked the email that my sister wrote to her.
In order to clear up the confusion, I want to say "Sorry" for my sister.
Can I write "I'm sorry on my sister's behalf"?
Thanks |

Yes, that will work. Though often in formal polite English you will see the "on behalf" part first. So to step it up a few levels of politeness, you can say:
"On behalf of my sister, I wish to apologize for the error." or something like that. |
