Dear teachers:
(a) Electrical engineering may be classified as the art and science *of/for* developing, applying and controlling the electrical and related phenomena of nature.
Which one sounds more natural, "of" or "for"?

Thanks bud. "Of" and "for" are the prepositions that I am often confused with.  |

All prepositions can be tough, River. If that is the main confusion that you are having, then you have done a lot of work with prepositions... I've said this many times in here: I know many high-level ESL speakers, and the mistakes they still make are most often with prepositions. The others are usually with articles or idioms. Rarely do any of those mistakes interfere with understanding.
