Dear teachers:
(a) ITC currently maintains branches in 82 countries and territories with over $600 billion in assets.
(b) ITC currently maintains branches in 82 countries and territories with assets of over $600 billion.
Which one sounds more natural?
Thanks. |

Your sentence is ambiguous.
It is not clear whether ITC has over $600 billion in assets, or whether ITC has branches in countries which have over $600 billion in assets.
Assuming it is ITC that has all the money, you can write:-
ITC, with over $600 billion in assets, currently maintains branches in 82 countries and territories.
(With assets of over $600 billion is also fine.) |
