TiVo
* Yo mama *so fat when she stepped in front of the t.v., I missed two episodes.
What is the meaning of "yo mama" besides "your mother"? Why is there even a joke category of "yo mama"?
Thanks |

That's all it is. "Your mother is so fat..."
It is also used by itself as an insult, or even a challenge.
Car owner: Hey man, don't lean on my car, ok?
Leaner: Yo mama! I'm not hurting anything. Why don't you try and make me move! |

I've also seen it as a form of comedy competition. Two guys would face each other and take turns coming up with clever insults:
Yo momma so fat...
Yo momma so dumb...
Yo momma so skanky...
The idea is to make the other person so angry and flustered, they cannot think of a clever response or insult when it is their turn. When they fail to think of something funny or quickly, you win. |
