Then you do not know much about Wu Zetian. She was something China should be ashamed of.

I have read the book about her and I know her.NO matter what she had done even she killed her son,I think she was a great woman.Maybe She was a crul king . But she had built a great donasty at that time. She made the people rich and satisfy. Embarassed

Ah, but may I disagree, Dinah? Wu was a callous murderer and was exceptionally cruel.

If you examine her career in detail you will find that she did not do much good for her country. What she did was only for herself. And she did not found a dynasty.

I was made to study that terrible woman in detail. She was a blackguard and as a Chinese I am ashamed of what she did.

Forgive me for my opinions, but they were not obtained lightly.

I am sad that you admire such a bad woman.

Could I say something about Wu?I don't like her,nor don't I dislike her,of course I'm not ashamed of her yet.She may be cruel and cold-blooded in some of your views but,as a female emperor, actually the exclusive one throughout Chinese history,I have to say she did not bad. Also,I don't think it's advisable that judge her,a woman lived in that age, with modern ethic and regulation, both of which have been too much different today from those of served more than 1,000 years earlier. For instance, most of us don't view Alexander as an evil dictator that should be responsible for countless death of ancient persians and Indians that killed in his invasion to these lands, but add word--the great--after his name.
