from an amazing book, named The Namesake, i have learn that India is very tradictional country, women there like wearing sari. when people get marry, the bride's family would ask for dowry to the groom's family. this custom is almost the same as in china. |

Yes people do ask dowry. But this custom is soon fading away. Most people don't ask dowry any longer. Of course most parents give gifts to their daughter when they get married even if the groom's family hasn't asked for it. Personally I don't like the custom. _________________ The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success |

To knowledge seeker: It seems you can't pronounce Indian names properly. It happens. The names of the actors are Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, John Abraham and Amitabh Bachan(he is a male actor). Some new Indian fims are Paheli(shahrukh), Parineeta, Sarkar(Amitabh).Dus,Dhoom,Kya Kool hai Humc an many more.
To Tapril: Yes Indian dances are very beautiful. We have many of them. Almost every state has one.
Enlishim1a: Yes our environment is degrading. Relentless cutting of trees, not obeying emmision norms and improper enforcement of environment laws are the reasons for this. _________________ The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success |

Hi Sandip,
To put things in a nutshell, I quite like Indian food. I especially like to have a nice Masala tea with it. Then there's Bollywood which never ceases to entertain me. I quite like Salman Khan and the charismatic Ajay Devgan.
I would like to visit India someday.

I am a Chinese student .I love Indian so much! In the past, we can see so many excellent films from your country anywhere. The songs in the films are so dulcet. My father always tell me the films that he enjoyed when he was only a child. It is really a pity that we can enjoy fewer and fewer films from your country.
And ,be frank with you,I am amazeing that why all the people in you country are so beautiful, it is unfair |
