Does someone explain the dialogue of the clip of the movie �You�ve got mail�to me?
See below.
Dialogue:
JOE Knock knock.
CASHIER Who's there?
JOE Orange.
CASHIER Orange who?
JOE Orange you going to give us a break and zipping this credit
card through the credit card machine? C'mon. You can do it.
Zip, zip. There you go. Rose. Ah, that is a great name. So,
you're fine.

This is called a "knock knock joke". It is a play on words. For more examples, search on the web under "knock knock jokes"

"...orange you going to..." means "Aren't you going to..." orange and aren't sound alike in different accents within the English language. |
